Katya’s paintings, based on the technique of the wide brush, convey the sense of movement and irresistible dynamics. In her works we find clear and vivid colors. Her style is also influenced by her recent stay in Africa, the unique atmosphere of the colorful Peruan markets and the dances of the Rio Carnival.
Katya Andreeva lives and works in the picturesque resort town of Sirmione, Italy, which is located along the shore of the lake Garda. She was born in Bulgaria, where she graduated the Art School "Tsanko Lavrenov". During the first stages of her career, Katya was lucky to work with two of the best Bulgarian artists, Atanas Karadechev and Mincho Panayoutov. Later on she worked together with the world famous Maestro Athos Faccincani.
She is prized at the competition of Extemporaneos Painting and Sculpture "1…2…Tre…Evolution" in Bardolino.
Katya is winner of the prize “La Modella per L‘Arte”, Region Piemonte, Acqui-Terme, Italy, 2006. She has awarded a medal at the Third Painting Competition “G.B. Moroni” – “Dream and Reality”, Bergamo, Italy.
